For the purposes of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, TUM Studios Private Limited is the Data Fiduciary in respect of personal data collected through this website.
2. What this policy covers
This policy covers personal data we collect through this website.
It does not cover personal data contained in content our clients send us to localize. Where we process material on a client's behalf, we act as a Data Processor under that client's instructions and under the terms of our contract with them. If you are a client, your own agreement with us governs that relationship.
3. What we collect
Information you give us
Inquiry and project forms. Name, company, email address, telephone or WhatsApp number, country, and whatever you tell us about your project: content type, runtime, target languages, deadline and any message.
Applications. If you apply to work with us, we collect your name, contact details, location and time zone, language and dialect, experience, and any showreel or portfolio link you provide.
Correspondence. Emails, WhatsApp messages and call notes when you contact us.
Information collected automatically
IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring page, pages viewed, time on page and similar analytics data.
Cookies and similar technologies, described in our Cookie Policy.
Children. This is a business website and its forms are intended for commercial inquiries and professional applications. We do not knowingly collect the personal data of anyone under 18.
The Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025 require verifiable parental or guardian consent before a child's personal data is processed. If we become aware that we hold personal data of a child without that consent, we will delete it. We do not track children, profile them, or direct advertising at them, and we do not do those things to anyone using this website.
4. Why we use it, and on what basis
| Purpose | Data used | Basis |
|---|---|---|
| Responding to your inquiry and preparing a quote | Form data, uploads, correspondence | Your consent, and steps taken at your request before entering a contract |
| Delivering a project you have engaged us for | Contact and project data | Performance of our contract with you |
| Considering you for freelance or employed work | Application data | Your consent |
| Understanding how the website is used and improving it | Analytics data | Your consent, through cookie preferences |
| Meeting legal, tax and accounting obligations | Transaction and contact data | Compliance with law |
| Establishing, exercising or defending legal claims | As relevant | Our legitimate interests |
How this works under Indian law. The Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 is built around consent and a defined set of legitimate uses, rather than the wider basis framework used in some other jurisdictions.
In practice: everything you send us through a form is processed on the basis of your consent, given when you submit it. Processing necessary to perform a contract you have entered into with us, and processing required to comply with a legal obligation, fall within the legitimate uses recognized by the Act.
You can withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawing it does not affect anything done before you withdrew, and where we are required by law to retain something, tax records, for example. We will retain it and tell you why.
If you are in the United Kingdom or the European Union, additional rights may apply to you under local law. Contact us and we will deal with your request under whichever framework gives you the stronger position.
6. International transfers
We work with clients and specialists in many countries, so personal data may be accessed from outside India: for example by a partner studio or reviewer working on a project.
Where that happens, we require written confidentiality and security obligations at least as protective as our own.
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, transfer of personal data outside India is permitted except to territories the Central Government restricts by notification. We do not transfer personal data to any restricted territory.
Where a partner studio, reviewer or specialist outside India works on a project, they receive only what the work requires, under written confidentiality and security obligations at least as protective as our own.
7. How long we keep it
Inquiries that do not become projects: 24 months.
Client project records: for the duration of the engagement and afterwards as required for legal, tax and accounting purposes.
Applications: 24 months.
Analytics data: as set out in our Cookie Policy.
You can ask us to delete your data sooner. See section 9.
8. How we protect it
We maintain reasonable security safeguards, including access on a least-privilege basis, multi-factor authentication where available, secure credential handling, encrypted transmission, and removal of access when it is no longer needed.
Your content is never used to train AI models. We do not upload client material to public or consumer AI tools, and we do not use it to train or fine-tune any model or add it to any dataset.
No system is completely secure. If a personal data breach occurs:
we will inform affected individuals without delay, describing what happened, what data was involved, what steps we are taking, what you can do to protect yourself, and who to contact; and
we will report the breach to the Data Protection Board of India within 72 hours of becoming aware of it, as required by the Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025.
Where a separate report to CERT-In is required by cyber-security directions applying to the incident, we will make it within the period those directions specify.
9. Your rights
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you may:
Access a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how we process it.
Correct or complete inaccurate or incomplete data.
Update your data.
Erase your data, where it is no longer needed for the purpose it was collected for or required by law.
Nominate another individual to exercise your rights if you die or become incapacitated.
Withdraw consent at any time, where our processing relies on it.
Complain to us, and then to the Data Protection Board of India.
To exercise any of these, email contact@trendsupmedia.com.
10. Grievance Officer
If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your personal data, contact our Grievance Officer:
TUM Studios Private Limited is not a Significant Data Fiduciary and is therefore not required to appoint a Data Protection Officer. We do designate a person who can answer questions about how we process personal data, as the Act requires.
Name: Arpit Bhatnagar
Email: contact@trendsupmedia.com
Address: as in section 1.
We will acknowledge your complaint and respond within the period required by law. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
11. Team contact pages
Some pages on this website publish the name, photograph and role of individual members of our team. These pages exist so that people who scan a QR code on a printed visiting card can reach the right person. Contact on these pages runs through the company's central details, contact@trendsupmedia.com and +91 90572 96732; no personal telephone number, personal WhatsApp number or personal email address is published. The pages are not listed in navigation, are not included in our sitemap, and carry instructions asking search engines not to index them. They are not password-protected, and anyone with the direct link can open them. Each individual has consented to publication. Any of them may ask for their page to be unpublished at any time by contacting us, and we will do so promptly.
12. Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed. Material changes will be brought to your attention where the law requires it.
