Chuukese.

A Micronesian language spoken across Chuuk State in the Federated States of Micronesia, and by diaspora communities elsewhere in the Pacific and the United States. It is a language of daily life and community, not of commercial media, which is why localized content in it is scarce and the need is real.

There is no roster to draw from.

Chuukese has no professional voice-acting industry. The work begins before production does.

  • Nothing to call

No agency, no established rate card, no pool of speakers with studio credits.

  • Reach the community

We find speakers whose Chuukese is strong enough to carry recorded content.

  • Performers, not readers

Among them, we find someone who can perform rather than merely read.

  • Independent review

A separate reviewer assesses the result. Often the hardest part, often skipped. We do not skip it.

Services in Chuukese.

  • Native voices

Dubbing and voice-over with native speakers.

  • Written to timing

Translation and script adaptation, written for the timing the content allows.

  • Text and transcripts

    Subtitling, closed captions and transcription.

  • Same standard throughout

Audio post, mixing and mastering by our own team, and full five-stage quality control with an independent reviewer.

Typical projects.

Much of this is content where comprehension is the whole point, which argues for a native performer over an approximation.

  • Public health and government

    Communication reaching Chuukese-speaking communities.

  • Education and civic

Education and training material, plus legal, civic and language-access content.

  • Culture and documentary

Community and cultural programming, and documentary and factual work with Pacific subjects.

What to expect.

  • Feasibility first

Talent is confirmed before a schedule is agreed.

  • A realistic window

Sourcing takes longer than for a commercial language. We give a realistic window, not an optimistic one.

  • Then our standard timeline

Once cast, production runs to our standard timeline.

  • Native direction, live

Recorded in-region where possible, remote-directed where not, with a native speaker directing the session live.

Frequently
Asked Questions.

Do you actually deliver in Chuukese?
Yes. Chuukese is a language we have completed and shipped projects in, not one we list as a theoretical capability. Very few studios anywhere can say that.
How do you find Chuukese voice talent?
Through the language community rather than through agencies, because no professional voice-acting roster exists. We identify native speakers who can perform recorded content, and separately identify a reviewer independent of the performer.
How long does a Chuukese project take?
Sourcing is the long part and varies with the specific requirement. Once cast, production runs to our standard three days per finished hour. We confirm talent availability before agreeing any delivery date.
Can you subtitle as well as dub?
Yes: subtitles, closed captions and transcription, written from the dubbed dialogue where both are produced so the two agree.
