English

US, UK, India, global

Four varieties

US, UK, neutral Indian and general English, each a separate casting brief.

Heard in a sentence

A listener knows within a sentence which English they are hearing.

Samples first

Accent samples before you commit to any variety.

English dubbing and localization.

English is not one casting brief. We cast US, UK, neutral Indian and general English as distinct varieties, because a listener knows within a sentence which one they are hearing, and we will send you accent samples before you commit to any of them.

Which English is a positioning decision.

Accent in English carries associations you cannot ignore. Choosing badly produces no error, just a mismatch: content that sounds made for a different audience. So you never choose blind. Give us your shortlist and we send accent samples from cast performers on your own script before anything is committed.

  • US English

The default for much international content. Reads as globally neutral, especially for entertainment and creator work.

  • Neutral Indian English

Clear and widely understood across South Asia and beyond. Often right for India-originated content, and corporate or e-learning for Indian and Gulf audiences.

  • UK English

For factual, heritage and corporate content, and audiences where British English is the reference (the UK, parts of Africa and Asia).

  • General English

Avoids strong regional marking. Suits factual, instructional and corporate material where the voice should not draw attention.

Clients often compare US against neutral Indian, or UK against general.

Frequently
Asked Questions.

Which English variety should we use?
US English for globally aimed entertainment and creator content; neutral Indian English for South Asian and Gulf audiences and for Indian-origin content; general English for factual and corporate material where the voice should not draw attention. We ask before casting.
Do you count these as separate languages?
No. US, UK, neutral Indian and general English are separate casting and direction briefs and one language. We count English once, and we treat accent as a casting decision rather than a way of inflating a language list.
Can we hear samples before choosing an accent?
Yes, and clients ask for this regularly. Tell us the shortlist and we will send samples from cast performers on your own script, so the decision is made on evidence rather than description.
Can you dub Indian-language content into English?
Yes, and it is common work. The adaptation problem runs in reverse, Indian languages often carry relationship and status information in grammar that English has to convey through word choice and tone instead.
Do you provide English narration for corporate and e-learning?
Yes, and neutral or general English is usually the right choice there. Clarity and pace matter more than character in that work.
